Ellie Harris (@TheDifferenceEd), David Laws, @natalieperera1, Phil Sayles, @SchwitzerEd & @munirawilson will discuss inclusive curriculum & assessment reform and its wider impact.
We’re opening the day, at 11:30, with @AQA to ask: what would a Curriculum & Assessment system that works for everyone look like? We’ll explore how inclusive reform could address wider challenges incl. pupil absence and wellbeing.

It’s #LiteracyDay today, and that includes digital literacy. How confident are young people in engaging digitally? @Thakeman writes the latest AQi blog about the myth of the digital native and what young people need in this digital media era > aqa.org.uk/aqi/the-myth-of-t…
Today is #LiteracyDay and it got me thinking. We can often assume that young people today are naturally digitally literate, born into a naturally digital world. But how true is that?
Read my thoughts in my latest AQi blog, link in below.

Super chance to celebrate all the hard work we’ve been up to @AQA around real world numeracy, the sort we all need to get by day-to-day. Read about what we’re doing in the tweet below and follow #NationalNumeracyDay for more
We’re delighted to share with you on #NationalNumeracyDay that we've spent the last year working on an exciting and brand new numeracy assessment that focuses on real-world maths.
Proud of the work that's gone into our new Maths readiness assessment - AQA Stride. Big thanks to Capital City College for showing the positive impact Stride is already having in centres.
We visited Capital City College Group where we heard from students and teachers about how #AQAStride is supporting #LessonPlanning and building #StudentConfidence ahead of maths resits. Fancy a sneak peek into what they told us? Watch it below.

Last year, AQA awarded 36,656 project qualifications: which boost learners’ skills, deepen their knowledge and nurture their passions.

Great to have @LeighInghamMP mention the recent AoC Student of the Year awards and congratulate AQA Project Excellence Award winner Emily Rizk from @NSCGStafford and @NSCGNewcastle during Business Questions in the House of Commons.
Brilliant to welcome @ZoeFranklinLD to our Guildford office on @UniOfSurrey's campus this morning.

It’s the first meeting of 2025 for our Expert Steering Group on Numeracy, and today we’re exploring lessons learnt from the Manchester Baccalaureate, and feedback from schools and colleges themselves on our numeracy assessment.
Before Christmas, familiar debates were reignited about how to ‘save’ the civil service.
I argue in Civil Service World today that policy solutions are only half the battle.
To reform the civil service, politics needs to change too.
Girls made up only 21% of GCSE Computer Science students in 2023. Dr Chinwe Njoku considers the reasons behind this percentage and why it matters in a new AQi blog.

Hi @EastMidRailway. Some positive feedback for your very friendly and personable staff at Kettering station. Through good natured humour and genuine human connection, placated lots of annoyed passengers. Didn’t catch his name, but if you do a reward/bonus scheme he deserves it.
He said he’d clocked on shift at 17:30, if that helps to pinpoint.
A good job he was so ace, because if he wasn’t you might’ve had a riot on your hands due to your pisspoor service.
Maybe he could get the bonus that’s earmarked for your CEO?
A huge moment for everyone in education today, with the Curriculum and Assessment Review call for evidence closing today. A great opportunity to share our thoughts on how we could do things differently.
📢Today, AQA has responded to the @BeckyFrancis7#CurriculumAndAssessment Review, which you can view below. We wholeheartedly agree that evolution, not revolution, is the right approach.
Teachers have told us the curriculum has become crowded. 1/5 bit.ly/3Z4NJ0C
