Almost through week 2 of working as a UX Researcher. I knew I’d love it but I LOVE IT. I have moments when I’m hard on myself because all these acronyms and jargon but I’ll get there. So proud of myself 😍😝😌 #blackinUX#BlackTechTwitter#womenintech#careertransition
I can finally say it….I GOT THE JOB! I decided UX was for me at the beginning of this year, did the Google ux design courses, completed an internship and after 3months on the job hunt….I GOT IT! thank you Jesus 🙏🏽 #blackinux#BlackTechTwitter#womenintech#careertransition
I’ve been silent but I’ve been interviewing. Talking to mentors, talking to colleagues, talking to employers and as always feeling grateful and hopeful! Getting closer and closer. It’s the whole journey that matters. #careertransition#womenintech#BlackTechTwitter#blackinUX
I finally got the email I been waiting on. I didn’t get the job.Disappointed a little but GRATEFUL. I’m 1 step closer to MY OPEN DOOR. Social media makes everything seems like it happens overnight but my feed shows it’s a process. #careertransition#BlackTechTwitter#womenintech
I haven’t said anything in a while. I’ve been interviewing and waiting. Trusting and being patient. Landing a job in today’s industry is an arduous process. Still hopeful and can’t wait to share good news. #careertransition#careerswitch#uxresearch#blackinUX#edtech
Internship ends tomorrow and I have an unexplainable sense of peace that this is one of the best decisions I’ve made for me. Job is not secured as I thought it would be but I’m so sure it’s coming soon. God’s working right now. #careerswitch
Interviews are such an interesting experience. You could be awful at interviewing and excellent in your role and vice versa or both. But follow your instincts-both from the interviewer and interviewee POV. #blackintech#BlackTechTwitter#womenintech#interviewtips#careerswitch
👉Color accessibility: the resources, tips and tools I regularly use to build and check the color accessibility of my products, all in on place. Enjoy.

Internship is coming to a close in 2.5 weeks. It has been a RICH experience. #Transitioning from #education to #edtech has been rewarding. Being able to work from my passion of education, mental health and social good has been 🥹😭😆🙃😜😌. #blackinUX#blacktechtwitter#edxit
Also has anyone done inclusive personas? I think I’ll be doing them on my project for internship and I’m really looking forward to the process. #blackinUX#BlackTechTwitter#uxresearch
Honestly, applying for jobs and getting constant rejections takes so much grit. This week has been a challenge for me to mentally push through my own doubts/fears. BUT I’m still convinced and know good things are coming for me. #careertransiton#BlackTechTwitter#blackinUX
Pivoting into tech takes alot of work! Pivoting during a recession AND mass layoffs is even harder. Between this and submitting countless job applications, remember to give yourself grace. It takes mental discipline and constant motivation.
I did it y’all!! I resigned from my school counselor position for the upcoming school year to fully pursue being in UX. It’s been a whirlwind and it’s definitely requires FAITH but I’m excited to share MORE great news as it comes. #careertransition#blackinUX#Blacktechtwitter
I’m mid way through week 1 as an intern 😆🎉💃🏾. I have so much to learn and I’m expectant for great results. The support I’ve received so far has been heartwarming. I just know my full time position is on the way! #BlackInUX#blackgirlsintech#BlackTechTwitter#careertransition
