A Day at the Races is "almost" a great Marx Brothers movie. Too long, some of the musical numbers stop it dead, and it's a little unfocused. There's a cut musical number called Dr. Hackenbush which Groucho clearly loved, as he used to music whenever he could.

I admire Rumble Fish more than I like it.
One of the funniest moments in Shameless is when someone calls Mickey Rumble Fish.
For me Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish (1983) is an interesting failure but I admire his willingness in the 80s to ignore the conventional filmmaking rules and I love its odd feeling of unreality. At times it feels like a descent into Hell.

PLANET OF THE APES (1974): the biggest movie sci-fi franchise of the 70s (pre-Star Wars) launched an animated series, books, annuals, toys and games, and this TV series. Its oppressive, eerie titles, Lalo Schifrin's music, and the rifle-toting apes, really got to me as a kid.
