ALT Chimptopia TV Tropes YMMV page Shallow Parody: The promo for the series shows the character Gobbles from Gameoverse (2026) as a comically stupid childlike character who is derivative of every other cartoon character before being tricked into beaten up. This completely ignores the fact that Gobbles only ever shows "stupidity" at the very beginning of the Pilot when he is brand new to the world and genuinely doesn't understand what is happening, and he quickly learns and adapts and becomes a competent member of the team for the rest of the Pilot. Gobbles is also not a direct Expy of any major character and is not tricked at all in the Pilot and is in fact gives a motivational speech to Kit and fights alongside her as well as she does. Furthermore, the promo is also a shallow recreation to the opening scene of Tex Avery's "Screwball Squirrel (1944)", complete with the same background setup as well.
