A good read in @BBC_TopGear magazine this month, especially if you're a non-biker. @MrRoryReid tells how invigorating it can be, recounts his experience on a BMW R nineT Racer at Goodwood and suggests that riding might just make you a better driver.
I spent a lot of time working on this.
It's the first film I've ever made with some actual direction and purpose and I'm chuffed as fuck with it. Thanks to those that made it happen 😁
Now watch it and tell me I'm awesome. My ego needs it. x.com/wearebrake/status/9580…
Sometimes the grind just isn't worth it. Choose that different line, grab your keys and explore the world.

I invented a saying for the frogs on African Dakars which was “We’re in MoFN” Middle of fucking nowhere. They laughed, but amusingly even though the crew is now not together, we text each other with MOFN for shits and giggles…because Mauritania was just that.
Nothing in 49 degs.
To end my solid rant, there stacks of years in africa that swallow this dakar. Dakar is still incredibly tough but 600km specials in the empty, endless sand dunes of Mauritania have not yet been outdone. I mean look at these two images. Endless, unrelenting desert...
And before I move on to other legendary Dakar rallies, that fateful 1998, they raced 6 special stages back to back over 400km, with 3 monsters at 680km, 551km and 745km.
So don't go giving me that hardest ever bullshit MCN.
Even better. @s_peterhansel Peterhansel won in 1998. His winning time was 62 hrs 39 mins.
His race took 19 hours MORE race time than it took Walkner. Brit legend John Deacon finished 5 hours behind Peterhansel.
I mean, lets looks at some tangible facts here. 1998 - Stages 8, 12 & 13 took the fastest bike 8:12, 7:12 & 10:08. It was 18 days long. Those are special stage times by HOURS. #Dakar.
