Marriages “lasted longer” back in the day because women were socialised into accepting subjugation, subservience, weakness, financial dependence, and abuse - as a way of life. “Long lasting marriages” weren't a sign of happiness, but they were a symbol of helplessness.

The feminine urge to break free from a society designed for men. To create a life that embraces our own rhythms, allows for regular rest, and aligns with our unique physical and mental needs instead of conforming to others' expectations.

Men have no idea how much they benefit from the stigma around 'single women'. The pressure on women to stay in unhappy relationships & tolerate bad behavior, lets men get away with shit they wouldn't if women were truly empowered to build fulfilling lives on their own.

People blame feminism for ruining marriages. But the real problem is unfair treatment of women, NOT women wanting to be treated fairly. Feminism just teaches women they have choices and deserve to be equal partners.

Susanna Salter, an unexpected candidate, became America's first female mayor in 1887 after a group of men nominated her as a joke. They intended to discourage women from entering politics, but their plan backfired, and Salter won the election by a landslide. 🤡

@BombayShavingCo Was promoting your brand in the name of uplifting her so necessary? Not only have you invited more scrutiny towards her when she's probably wishing for people to stop talking about her, but also disgustingly tried to emphasize the need for your product.

Are you actually empowering her, or, instead sending out a message to her and countless other girls like her that it's okay even if they get bullied for having facial hair, because your products would come to their rescue at the end? Disgusting and highly insensitive move.

Just read this somewhere - “Abusive men pave the way for lazy men to get wives and girlfriends.” And, I couldn't agree more! Not being emotionally manipulated or physically abused by a man is what most women strive for. The bar is so low at this point.

These jokes also discourage men from expressing their emotions and vulnerability within a relationship. It frames marriage as something men are "forced" into rather than a CHOICE they make willingly. (5/6)

Lastly, this joke is a prime example of toxic masculinity. It suggests that real men are always on guard, ready to protect themselves from being "tricked" by women. (6/6)

[thread] A male friend recently shared his thoughts about the future generation, expressing concern that kids might face tough times due to the high frequency of divorces and separations these days.

Things are changing. Women are recognizing their worth earlier and choosing their sanity over compromising their lives away. And they shouldn't have to apologize for that.

And in my opinion, Even if now children have to witness their parents separating, they'll also witness the resilience and the strength in standing up for oneself. They'll learn when to leave and what not to tolerate, breaking the cycle of suffering.
