The perfect time doesn't exist. It’s never too early to learn that new skill. It’s never too late to quit that bad habit. So stop waiting to get started. If you care about something, now is the time to act.

Clear plan of action, consistent self-education, and a commitment to your priorities are the only things separating you from where you are and where you want to be.

Simple lesson in starting a business: It’s not hard to find people that need your products or services, but it is hard to attract those people towards what you have to sell. Anyone can do the former, but only a few can do the latter. It’s no secret which of the two approaches is better suited for success.

It took me far too long to realize that success is always within reach if you're willing to play long-term games, get comfortable with making mistakes, and make a commitment to lifelong learning.

If you only read what everyone else is reading, you’ll only think whatever everyone else is thinking and write what everyone else is writing.

If you’ve caught yourself in a loop of planning over executing, just remind yourself of this quote by Curtis Grant: "Having the world’s best idea will do you no good unless you act on it.Β People who want milk shouldn’t sit on a stool in the middle of the fieldΒ in hopes that a cow will back up to them."

Constantly searching for your niche is a distraction. The best way to find it is to write consistently, make mistakes, and look for the overlap between what interests you and what your reader wants to know more about. In today's podcast, @adi_kumar1 and I discussed how we found our niches and how you can stand out in a sea of noise. open.spotify.com/episode/5B2…

To all new writers: Stop worrying about what people think and just write. If no one reads it, so what? If someone has an opinion, why does it matter? Most people aren't going to see your first few pieces of writing, and trust me, that's a good thing. Take it as an opportunity to practice your skills. Use it as a filter to test topics you want to write about. Remember, writing is all about freedom. The more you hit publish, the less daunting it gets over time.

Writing is the best way to put your ideas to the test. But most people struggle to find things to write about. In today's episode of the Doctors and Writers podcast, @adi_kumar1 and I discussed the six gears of idea generation, digital vs analog note-taking, and the systems we use to generate endless content ideas. Check out the fifth episode right here: open.spotify.com/episode/75U…

"It's too early to start a business." "You've failed before; what makes you think you'll succeed now?". These questions played over and over in my mind before launching Doctors and Writers. I was all in on the idea and its potential to make a difference, but each time I got to work, I felt an overwhelming force of resistance. But here's where things get interesting. When I got on calls with friends and told them about the idea, they loved it. When I got on a call with @adi_kumar1 to share what I had in mind, he loved it too. I couldn't believe it. All this time, I was the only person holding the project back. So I knew I had to make some changes. This time, whenever I felt that inner resistance creep in, I just kept saying to myself: What's the worst that could happen? Within a few weeks, we brainstormed the project, created the website, recorded our podcast, and finally launched D&W. Yes, we've made mistakes and still have lots to learn. But I wouldn't be writing this today unless we took a chance on that idea. If you have an idea you're passionate about, focus on the possibilities instead of the limitations. Give yourself one reason why it's a good idea instead of all the reasons it isn't. Remember, self-doubt is always self-imposed. Take the shot and remind yourself, what's the worst that could happen? Back yourself, stick with it for long enough, and trust me, there's a good chance you'll surprise yourself and those around you.
