I am gonna give the cast a pass because they delivered on what was asked an already much maligned first film, but the script for MK2 was a downgrade in execution. Enjoyed all the new cast but they didn’t have a movie script to work with - they had something…else.
I’ve been a defender of MK1 for a min, and I was so pumped for part 2 but aside from the clear upgrade in the budget, loyalty to the game visuals., fights/gore, it felt so lifeless and poorly edited. Baffled by how clunky it felt. The cam blocking was god awful. Just confused.

Ok, Mortal Kombat II was actually…really not good? I am not sure how you get the same director, same actors, bigger budget, and somehow make something so stilted, that it feels nothing like a “movie”. At least the first one wanted to be a movie, this one wanted to be…IG reels?

Not sure why all the hate coming towards it, but I found the Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender movie to be pretty fantastic. Gorgeous animation, voice cast was solid (esp being new to the roles). Yes, the gang are just supporting but they still had awesome scenes. Hoping for more.
