If you ever get a "Critical security alert" from @Google in your @gmail inbox, don't panic and don't click anything. Go to: Manage your Google Account > Security & Sign-In. If anything is really going on with your account you'll see it there. If it's fake, report as phishing.

If anyone has Bitaxes that won't mine and are just gathering dust, I'd be willing to buy them if they still have functioning ESP32s accessible via USB. I'd prefer to find people with multiple units so shipping is efficient.

Why did @CoveredCA mail a letter and voter registration card to me (I'm registered)? Seems like a waste of funds and natural resources... As do the constant paper documents mailed to me when they are all digitally available on my insurer's website. How do we stop all this waste?

Strategy bulls, what say you?
"It's just complete balance sheet mismanagement" Jeff Dorman on why Strategy is being forced to sell Bitcoin "The market was worried they weren't gonna be able to satisfy the dividend. So they raised about $2 billion and said now you don't have to worry for a year and a half because we have this $2 billion sitting on the balance sheet solely to pay dividends. Everyone breathes a sigh of relief" "Then a month later he takes 1.4 billion of that cash cushion and buys back some of his convertible debt at 92 cents on the dollar, completely the opposite of what he said the cash was for. He retired 2029 maturity debt, which doesn't come due for three more years" "Now that one and a half year cash cushion suddenly fell to four months. He comes out on Monday and says we're actually gonna sell some Bitcoin. It's teasing the market that that's the only choice he has now. That's why Bitcoin's imploding, that's why the stock is imploding"

He waited over a year and didn’t replace any of the founding fathers. Amazing restraint.
Trump will have his image replace Franklin’s on the $100 bill within the next 3 months, right?

It’s a matter of hours before OpenAI releases something, simply to try to keep up with the Anthropic buzz, right?

Mozilla pointed Mythos at Firefox source code and uncovered 271 hidden vulnerabilities, dwarfing the 22 vulns that Opus 4.6 missed. Mozilla: "Computers were completely incapable of doing this a few months ago, and now they excel at it." blog.mozilla.org/en/privacy-…

.@nikitabier seems verified accounts are the major spammers on my timeline lately. Why don’t you have an algo that detects and sidelines accounts that rapid-fire posts like these? Seems trivial and effective.

Codex usage limits make me think I'm crazy. 20% weekly limit left, reset in two days. Next day 70% left, reset in 5 days. 2 hours later 5% left, reset in 6 days. 20 minutes later, 100% left, reset in a week. I just ran out of 5h credits, but 20 min later, I have 98% left.

I feel like someone hit Codex with a stupid stick today. After so few issues the past week (other than compacting context windows), suddenly it's coding error after error.

I was curious some old watches and was getting guesses of their values from the ChatGPT iOS app. Two days later I see an ad on a news website for a local jeweler advertising that they buy watches. Could be a coincidence, but seems pretty specific. Anyone else experience this?

A technically minded person spent many hours going through the released Epstein jail videos, then re-examined them in light of the Epstein Files. The result is a deep, evidence-focused look at the footage, and a serious challenge to the official narrative. substack.com/@michaelmitchel…

I thought I was going crazy, everything I watched on X seemed to be faster than reality. I finally realized there is a speed setting for X media and it was set at 1.25x.

Codex helped me create a sound generator with a ring modulator and built-in oscilloscope. Tweaking the sounds while looking at the waveform is so fun! It unintentionally helped me visually understand the pitch generated by high resonance settings while tweaking the LF cutoff.
