We're looking back at the past few months of joyful music-making🫶
From our jam-packed European Tour and reuniting with former Music Director Mirga Gražinyte-Tyla, to celebrating our season finale with cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and pianist Hisako Kawamura - it's been a blast!
March: a month filled with celebration! 🌟
Kazuki Yamada won the 2025 RPS Conductor Award, Project Remix celebrated a decade of music-making and after 4 sell-out Key Stage 1 concerts, we are proud to have reached a total of 28,000 children in this year's Schools' Concerts! 🤩🫶
Let's recap February!
15,000 pupils attended our Key Stage 2 & 3 Schools' Concerts, we had another sell-out concert for the music of John Williams, plus CBSO Youth Orchestra got the chance to play side-by-side with CBSO Musicians - we've had a lot of fun this month 😄
2025 has been off to a busy start at the CBSO!
From movie music presented by @PetrocTrelawny and Relaxed Concerts welcoming 15,000 pupils, to kickstarting rehearsals for @0121Legacy and even two @RoyalPhilSoc Award nominations 🤩
January has been a great first month of 2025 🥰
Happy Birthday Kazuki! 🥳
We wish our Music Director Kazuki Yamada a very 'Happy Birthday' from all of us at the CBSO - we hope your day is as joyful as it is to work with you 🌟
