We’re proud to support the launch of new research from @LogmyCare, in partnership with @CareEngland, What shapes family confidence in care? - exploring how families experience care today and what that means for the future of the sector. Based on a nationally representative survey of 1,000 families, the findings highlight something many providers instinctively understand: Confidence is built (or lost) in everyday moments. πŸ’¬ Through predictable communication. βœ… Through visible action on feedback. 🀝 Through clarity and reassurance families can rely on. In a system under sustained pressure, family confidence is not a soft metric. It influences reputation, resilience, regulatory confidence and long-term sustainability. This research offers practical insight for leaders reflecting on how communication, culture and digital maturity shape trust over time. 🚨 An insider’s tip from The Caring View 🚨 Back in August, Mark Topps was looped into a conversation that was still very much at the β€œearly idea” stage. There was no platform, no library, just a shared frustration about how difficult it is for care providers to access clear, reliable policies. That idea was OpenDoc. A couple of months later, Ruth Kyle πŸš€ and Dr. Devan Moodley reached out properly to talk about making it real. What stood out immediately was the pace. The team at Health Connect moved quickly, with a clear sense of purpose, to turn it into something practical for the sector. Since then, OpenDoc has grown fast. Many across social care will have already seen it mentioned. At its core, OpenDoc is a free policy library for social care, with policies reviewed, verified, and contributed to by people who understand care in the real world. Mark has been involved in reviewing policies alongside other sector experts - a process that reflects the collaborative spirit behind the project. What started as a simple conversation is now set to launch officially at the Care Leaders’ Summit 2026, taking place on 28 January at the Garden Museum in Westminster. For anyone interested in following OpenDoc’s journey or attending the summit, sign-up details are available via the links in the comments. From the Caring View perspective, OpenDoc represents a meaningful step towards better access, shared knowledge, and stronger foundations for care delivery. It’s a project we’re proud to be supporting and one we’ll be watching closely as it continues to grow.

A survey by @CareLineLive found that 67% of providers reported β€œrarely or only sometimes” receive complete patient information from the NHS. Responses saw providers describe system failures that force home care staff to operate without medical details of those they care for. TheΒ reportΒ also found rising concern that home care staff are being pushed to manage increasingly complex needs with one respondent stating, β€œClient needs are getting more complex but the training and guidance hasn’t kept pace.” Read the full report here: carelinelive.com/survey-2025…
