Random thought; but wanted to Tweet while it was on my mind,
I think the BIG difference of why the newer Zombies storyline isn’t clicking for people as much (Cold War-BO7) compared to the old zombies storyline, (WaW-BO4) is that there is a severe lack of INTENT with the new games & it’s choices
Think about how deliberate small details & choices were back then, “why are the zombies eyes this color?That must mean something”
& most of the time, it did, all these small details had reasons for belonging in the gameplay or story
Nowadays it seems like there’s hardly ANY intent at all, why on earth is the Blundergat on Paradox Junction?? Why was the Sentinel Artifact dug up in BO6?
“Cause it would be cool lol” feels like it’s the answer to the matter of intent guiding the vast majority of choices made in the zombies ecosystem now
