Barring a supersonic performance in AA, I expect Caleb Bonemer to spend a good chunk of time in Birmingham before going to AAA Charlotte, but this is putting the #WhiteSox top prospect on track for a mid-2027 debut. More meteoric rising from Caleb and just great news for Chicago.
Our No. 2 preseason prospect Caleb Bonemer has been promoted to @BhamBarons, per @C1McKnight.
The 20 y/o slashed .237/.379/.562 with 18 HR and a 139 wRC across 60 games with @WSDashBaseball before the promotion. #WhiteSox
The #WhiteSox have a demonic future:
C Kyle Teel
1B Munetaka Murakami
2B Chase Meidroth
SS Colson Montgomery
3B Miguel Vargas
LF Sam Antonacci
CF Roch Cholowsky
RF Braden Montgomery
Get some SP to pair with Grant Taylor, one of the best CP in the game? Watch out.
Ok well like can we at least trade him for a starter or something? He literally leads all of MiLB in both HR and RBI. If we're not going to call him up, at least turn him into momentum. #WhiteSox
I’ve said it multiple times before and I’ll say again and again and again… Gave Davis is the best pitching prospect in the #WhiteSox farm system that not enough people are talking about and he has a chance to be a front end starter in MLB.
Last year Gabe Davis ended a difficult junior season in the Oklahoma State bullpen.
Now he’s not only thriving as a starter in the White Sox system, he’s already earned a promotion to Double-A Birmingham

Anthony Kay’s inconsistency and struggles against righties early on was alarming but he’s really settled in. I thought he’d make a better bullpen arm than starter, and that ultimately might be the case, but for now he’s earned the right to keep starting. #WhiteSox
With Teel out for the foreseeable future and neither Quero/Romo hitting well, Jacob Gonzalez suddenly has a pathway to real playing time. Unless they’re planning on trading him, he should be up with the #WhiteSox platooning the IF for rest days and getting regular starts as a DH.
Rikuu was quietly but consistently playing great baseball in the #WhiteSox farm system and was essentially ignored as a prospect, but he can translate into a great MLB platoon contributor. I hope swapping Acuña for Gonzalez is next. Both could get plenty of ABs on this team.
I don’t think Jared Kelenic is necessarily a dude, but his upside, tools, play, and underlying metrics are just better than Luisangel Acuña’s. Neither deserve to be priorities on this roster, but I’d have kept Kelenic over Acuña in the short term. #WhiteSox
