Alex Nuzum, 6’0 PG from Hackley School has been showing his value all spring long. Absolute DOG on the ball makes life difficult for every opponent trying to bring the ball up. Creates offense with pace, ability to attack the paint, and his VOICE to organize his team. Here is a small sample of one game vs Mass Rivals where you see how he impacts the game in every way… on the ball, in gaps, rebounding, finding cutters. (he didn’t play a lot of 2nd half because of big lead) Nuzum played the most minutes for us this spring because he was irreplaceable in his role. This is a guy who will make your program culture better the day he steps on campus. Tough one to finish, overcoming an early 13-0 deficit in a 2 point loss to a strong @DistrictBC squad. 7-2 overall for our 17s this weekend is solid. Our guys know how to win. 3-1 for our HGSL and 4-1 for our HGAL made a lot of coaches take notice. A few guys who really stood out this weekend: HGSL Alex Nuzum- @NuzumAlex25252 6’0 PG - Hackley School Alex controlled the tempo every game, harassing the ball 94 feet generating shots for his teammates and knocking down open looks. Jack Moynahan - 6’7” Wing/ F, Newman School Jack continues to improve his versatility, scoring the ball at all 3 levels and attacking the rim with aggression. Defensively his aggression and ability to stay in front of the ball continues to improve. Nick Ferdinand- 6’7 F - St Peter’s Prep Another 3 level scorer who punishes people in the paint and is a physical defender. Noah Khalid - @NoahKhalid1 6’1 G - Newman School Single-handedly won us our 2nd game with his ability to score in every way imaginable Antonio Tristani- @AntonioTristani 6’2 G - Don Bosco Savvy player who always makes the right play. Knocking down shots when they came to him, but never forcing the issue, impacting the game with his defensive IQ Derek Gomez- 6’6 G/Wing St Peter’s Prep Our most explosive player showed many instances why he’s a scholarship level player. HGAL Max Sheth- @maxsheth123 5’11 G - Kingston Slippery PG who commands the team. Change of speed with dribble is elite. Shot maker. Consistently makes winning plays. Austin McLaren - @austin1mclaren 6’3 G - Brunswick School Maybe the biggest stock riser. Guarded with physicality. Made the right reads all day and got into the paint at will. Shaan Daly 6’0 G - Fieldston School Unconscious from 3 most of the weekend. Tough finishes at the basket and midrange pull-ups. Disruptive defensively. Big reason team was 4-1. 🔥 @TheChurchSelect HGAL caps off the weekend with a dominant 65-44 win over Team Sims. Shaan Daly finished with 14 points and was a key contributor all weekend long during Riverside’s 4-1 weekend.

Riverside Select takes down Virginia Premier 70-62 behind a strong outing from #12 Austin McLaren. The Brunswick School guard finished with 17 points while showing great pace and control with the ball in his hands. Quick off the bounce and confident creating offense.
