🎬 Disclosure Day (2026) A kind of film that reminds you how exciting original storytelling can be. It drops you into its world with little context, trusting the audience to catch up rather than spoon-feeding every detail. At first, it feels almost disorienting, but that confusion quickly turns into curiosity as the film slowly reveals what is really happening. The story builds toward a worldwide revelation that humanity is not alone and explores how society, religion, and individuals react when that truth can no longer be hidden. What impressed me most was how confidently it unfolds. Every scene adds another piece to the puzzle, and by the time the bigger picture emerges, you realize how carefully everything was constructed. The runtime is tight and efficient, never dragging or overexplaining itself. The film thrives on atmosphere and uncertainty. It constantly keeps you guessing, making even ordinary conversations feel loaded with meaning. There is a refreshing sense of unpredictability here that is increasingly rare in modern thrillers. The ending will likely divide audiences. It does not provide all the answers some viewers may be hoping for, choosing ambiguity over complete closure. Personally, I found that choice fitting. It leaves you thinking about the film long after it ends and creates a lingering desire to spend more time in its world.

🎬 Backrooms (2026) One of the most atmospheric, unsettling, and unique horror films in recent years. What begins as a simple investigation into a strange phenomenon soon spirals into a nightmare with no clear escape. The story follows an frustrated architect who becomes entangled with the mysterious "Backrooms", an endless maze of yellow-tinted hallways, flickering lights, and impossible spaces that seem to exist outside the laws of reality. With a premise that could have easily fallen apart in less capable hands, the film's greatest strength lies in its cast. The actors fully commit to the bizarre concept, grounding the story emotionally and making the terror feel believable. Their performances keep you invested even as the film ventures deeper into increasingly surreal territory. Packed with intriguing mysteries, well-executed jump scares, and confident direction from Kane Parsons, Backrooms maintains a constant sense of unease. It may not work for everyone, especially viewers who prefer straightforward storytelling, but for fans of atmospheric horror, it's an experience worth getting lost in.

🎬 Obsession (2026) A horror film that gets under your skin rather than relying solely on constant scares. While it does feature what might be one of the most effective jump scares in years, the real strength of the film lies in the tension it builds beforehand. The story begins with Ian our male protagonist; who buys the 'One wish willow', a magical (lol) wish candle for his crush, the plot is intriguing, revealing just enough information to keep you hooked without giving away its mysteries too early. The atmosphere is oppressive and unsettling, making even ordinary moments feel uncomfortable. The female lead is easily one of the film's biggest strengths. Her performance feels natural, emotionally convincing, and carries much of the movie's tension. She brings a sense of vulnerability and authenticity that makes the horror hit even harder. The male protagonist, on the other hand, is one of the most frustrating horror leads in recent memory. His decisions often make you want to scream at the screen, though that may have been the intention. Visually, the film goes for a grounded and realistic style. However, some scenes are lit so darkly that important details can be hard to make out. It feels like a deliberate artistic choice, but it does not always work. What impressed me most was the film's commitment to psychological horror. It trusts its audience, avoids excessive exposition, and lets the dread linger long after scenes end. Not a perfect horror film, but one that delivers memorable scares, a gripping atmosphere, and surely the best horror of the year, character you care about long after the credit rolls.

🎬 Disclosure Day : ENDING The ending will definitely divide audiences. Instead of wrapping everything up neatly, the film leaves a few questions unanswered and trusts viewers to draw their own conclusions. Some may walk away wishing for more concrete answers, while others will appreciate the ambiguity and the conversations it sparks. Personally, I liked how it stayed with me long after it ended, it feels less like a conclusion and more like the beginning of something bigger. Either way, it leaves you wanting more..
