Who will have the courage to end this long national nightmare and challenge @BorisJohnson for the Premiership? The country cannot endure much more of this gross incompetence. He should retire to the overpriced after dinner speaking circuit where he belongs. Time for a grown up PM!
An extract from my piece for The Commentator on the potential political and economic impacts of the coronavirus that was published on Saturday 29th February. I think it still stands up! thecommentator.com/article/7…
What I wrote in an article for The Commentator on the potential political and economic impacts of the coronavirus that was published on Saturday 29th February. I think it holds up. thecommentator.com/article/7…#blameboris
If the Conservative Party doesn’t throw @BorisJohnson overboard they will find Labour winning the next election by a landslide; the likes of which we haven’t seen since the National Government of the the 1930s. #blameboris
The public has been treated like a yo-yo by @BorisJohnson and Downing Street. People’s lives and livelihoods are not to be toyed with. And whilst we do not like our Prime Minister’s to take themselves too seriously, we do expect them to take the job seriously. #blameboris
The reason for this is government incompetence. Pure and simple. They wasted the summer and failed to prepare for the predictable winter 2nd wave. The public MUST hold Downing Street responsibile! This was avoidable. The people are paying the price for No.10’s miserable failures!
This is a crisis of the Prime Minister’s own making. A second wave was entirely predictable and in line with what happened with the Spanish Flu in a 1918. If the government hadn’t squandered the summer, Boris wouldn’t be cancelling Christmas. This is his fault. Don’t be mistaken.
Last weekend @BorisJohnson was hosting a #climateambitionsummit instead of focusing like a lazer beam on saving #Christmas for millions of hard-working Brits and their families. This Prime Minister’s priorities are not your priorities! #BinBoris
As I understand it, the tests for the Civil Contingencies Act to be invoked are not met as government has had enough warning of problems to be able to legislate. #BinBoris
