Last week, Design Minds attended the grand opening of new exhibits at one of America’s newest national parks— New River Gorge National Park & Preserve! TDM planned and designed exhibits in the Canyon Rim Visitor Center.

The displays immerse visitors in the rich natural and cultural history of the park. Visitors learn about the forces that shaped the gorge, the park’s biodiversity, and the economic and environmental impacts of railroads and mining in the region.

Last week we traveled to William Howard Taft National Historic Site, the birthplace of our 27th president and 10th Chief Justice. TDM is creating a new experience inside the historic home. Never before seen artifacts, documents, & new interactive elements will explore his legacy.

4. Petersburg National Battlefield in Petersburg, VA - Petersburg National Battlefield recognizes the U.S. Colored Troops who fought during the Siege of Petersburg. At the start of the Civil War, this site was had the largest number of free Blacks of any Southern city.

Last week, NAI held a “Wayside Olympics” session where attendees rated entrees based on interpretive technique, design aesthetics, and accessibility. We're proud to share that voters awarded the gold to our work for the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial!🏆 Thanks for participating!
