My bot was doing well. Was up $6K on a $5,000 paper balance. So I doubled the position size. Today it went 0/3 and lost $1,000. Sometimes bigger is not better. The trades it took I would’ve taken over and over again. Price action today just didn’t let them play out.

I was freaking out because my bot did not take a single trade today. Spent all day trying to diagnose why only to figure out the bot identified today as a choppy day with no clear direction and did not force any trades. Unreal.

Market opens. Bot rejects PMH. Makes $216. Stops out the position before letting it bleed into the red (like I would’ve done). I take great entries. But I can’t exit. So I vibe coded a bot to do it for me. And it’s apparently working 😮

The bot has taken 23 paper trades today and is 23/23 for a 100% win rate. That is not normal. Every losing trade the bot takes becomes an opportunity to never take that setup again. We need more losing trades! ⚓️

Bot was 2/2 today. Caught one big winner on a QQQ 700 bounce. The new exit strategy appears to be letting winners run longer. I work all day and don’t have time to stare at screens waiting for levels to hit. It’s looking promising ⚓️

Today the bot caught SPY calls on an opening range breakout and held runners all day until force closure before the algos kick in. 11 total trades today with an 80% win rate. Still ironing out the exit strategy. Leaving a LOT of gains on the table.
