The champion chestnut SECRETARIAT who only knew one way to win - run them off their legs, which is the most difficult way to win but he was freakish enough to do it even by 31 lengths in a Group1 and he still holds many track records nearly 50 years later ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #untouchable

Replying to @MarlowLuke
@MarlowLuke agree with you Luke on Behind The Gates about the versatility of the the great Mahogany. He won both the VRC Derby and AJC Derby then was able to win the G1 Lightning Stakes over the 1000m twice! Can’t get much more versatile than that. @hkdarren @braddavo

and thought it was apt that Racing Queensland hosted the induction of Mahogany into the Hall Of Fame since he was purchased at the Gold Coast Magic Millions in 1992 by Lloyd Williams and Kerry Packer @hkdarren @MarlowLuke @braddavo

Champion sire Snitzel displayed great versatility as a sire of both a Group1 sprinter and a Group1 stayer over the weekend with the Golden Slipper winner Marhoona on Saturday and then the Group1 Hong Kong Derby winner Cap Ferret on Sunday👍👍 @RayThomas_1

Well done Luke, correctly calling every close photo finish yesterday at Newcastle. After backing yourself with your crow on Behind The Gates, that you would get every close finish right and you did. The closest finish of the day was in main race The Hunter where you favoured the first horse you called over the line, which was the winner Briasa. I also liked Brad’s bit of banter on BTG about when he started at the Tele with Shayne and Ray and was impressed with their upmost enthusiasm of finding the next good horse at the trials. Talking trials I’d been following a well named Snitzel horse called CASH which cost $1.1 million at the sales. It won impressively on debut at Mooney Valley, Friday night. CASH reminded me a lot like another Snitzel horse - Trapeze Artist. @MarlowLuke @hkdarren @braddavo @BenWayAUS @daveystan1 @AndyHurleyaust

Some footage of the false start in the G1 at Trentham yesterday (NZ) The 3 horses that stayed in ( given barrier malfunction) all raced well in the re-run.. (Conserved energy)

So sad our beautiful peacock was taken by a fox last night. I hadn’t seen him today and I was walking my dog this afternoon and saw all of his beautiful tail everywhere. 😥😥😢

Absolutely crazy snooker by Ronnie. A 3-ball plant which he didn't even need a second look at. A 3-cushion treble on the black not just any black but the extra black to decide the game. ROS greatest ever! @snookerbacker #snookerworldchamps #bbcsnooker #eurosportsnooker #crucible

Tremendous match Neil 🇦🇺 Unfortunately the 147 curse at the World Championships strikes again. Even Ronnie in 2003 had a 147 in the first round of the World Champs but lost to Michael Fu 10-6. Happens to the best of them. @snookerbacker #snooker #SnookerWorldChampionship

But isn’t a deliberate foul loss of frame… just saying @snookerbacker
Absolute lad Zhao Xintong going for the black before the pink after having the match won! Need fun characters like that in the game #snooker #crucible

Today was a Richie Benaud day 2-4-22 which is a well coined catchphrase made famous by the 12th Man, Billy Birmingham. And a horse called BENAUD nearly won today's Australian Derby but where else would you expect him to run but 2(nd)😀 @RayThomas_1 @BulldogRitchie @BigSportsWend
