Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar questions Jacob Elordiās acting range:
āI think Jacob Elordi is going to be a big starāno doubt about that. But lately Iāve been wondering whether heās just a sex symbol or a respected actor. [ā¦] Itās just that āWuthering Heightsā is very bad. And itās not Jacob Elordiās or Margot Robbieās faultāthey do what they can. Itās not even kitsch. Whatās happening with Frankenstein adaptations is that theyāve become these filthy creatures, made from pieces of other bodiesāitās always been a horror story. But now theyāve added a kind of sexualised imagery to it; theyāve made the monster attractive. He has to speak in that deep, low voice, and thatās much easier than using a more expressive range. So, in that sense, āFrankensteinā is very convenient for an actor.ā
