Those 911 Callers Weren’t “Heard”
🚨NYC GOVERNMENT INEFFICIENCY🚨
NYC’s B-HEARD (Behavioral Health Emergency Assistance Response Division) program is receiving approximately $35 million dollars in Fiscal Year 2026.
NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch testified that in the first four months of 2026 there were 17,961 calls where B-HEARD was requested.
B-Heard only responded to 1,411 of them. Meaning B-Heard only responded to 7.9% of the calls they were requested too.
