Here’s my thoughts on hypeddit disconnecting auto follows for free downloads, not that anyone asked:
Good on paper but I feel this platform had forced a lot of unintentional passive follows. I truly believe 20 engaged followers are better than 5000 passive ones.
A lot of artists were riding known artists/tracks through making edits of them (nothing wrong with making edits, I also do) but I think many ended up relying on this more than trying to build their own identity.
