Riley Dean emphasises the importance of the Bradford Bulls responding in the South of France against the Catalans Dragons on Saturday after a self-inflicted defeat to the Leigh Leopards. Dean says that the hard work begins now as the players aim to improve the low completion rate, reduce individual errors, and enhance defensive follow-up after mistakes. The young half felt that Bradford created enough chances and caused Leigh enough problems, but failed to finish them, and that lack of execution was the decisive weakness. Dean says he's going to take the chance offered to him by Kurt Haggerty and the Bradford Bulls with both hands and prove that he belongs at the Super League level. π‹π’π¬ππžπ§ π‡πžπ«πž πŸ‘‰ audioboom.com/posts/8916634-…

Kurt Haggerty described the Bradford Bulls' 38-12 defeat to the Leigh Leopards as frustrating loss caused by poor execution, but not a lack of effort or opportunity. Kurt stressed that the team created enough chances through line breaks, field position, and attacking shape, but simply failed to finish them. Kurt confirmed that Jayden Nikorima should be okay to return for the trip to face the Catalans Dragons on Saturday, but he says he will be without Eribe Doro, who failed his HIA, and that Caleb Aekins (abductor) and Dan Russell (neck) are both struggling. π‹π’π¬ππžπ§ π‡πžπ«πž πŸ‘‰ audioboom.com/posts/8916454-…

Andy Ackers believes the Bradford Bulls are improving as a group and continuing to build confidence in the club’s DNA, identity and culture. Ackers says that the culture Kurt Haggerty is building is a key reason for confidence in the team’s long-term prospects, highlighting the club’s journey from top-flight decline, through the Championship, to growing once again as a competitive force in the Super League. With Andy praising the club’s recruitment for 2026 and 2027 with Bradford recruiting the right players. Players who have built strong relationships within the squad, which support both on-field performance and belief. π‹π’π¬ππžπ§ π‡πžπ«πž πŸ‘‰ audioboom.com/posts/8915943-…

Just finishing off my Bradford Bulls vs Leigh Leopards commentary prep and whilst I was jotting a few stats down regarding previous meetings. I found myself wanting to rewatch this Championship classic between the two sides from 2016 at Odsal Stadium. Danny Addy landing the touchline conversion with the last kick of the game to earn the Bradford Bulls a thrilling 32-32 draw against the then named Leigh Centurions. It was a truly remarkable game after Bradford had trailed 32-6 late in the second half before staging a tremendous fightback. Scoring five tries in the last 14 minutes to grab a share of the spoils in front of a near 10,000 crowd. I remember interviewing Leigh head coach Neil Jukes after the game and he couldn't quite believe what he had just witnessed. One of those games that feels a lifetime ago but lives long in the memory. God bless Rugby League.

Eribe Doro says that his first Super League try for the Bradford Bulls was one of the most emotional scores of his career. Doro says that his try in the 30-20 victory over the York Knights meant everything to him because of his deep love for the Bradford club, the city, the supporters, and the exceptional group of players he plays alongside. Eribe praised Bradford’s identity in their victory over the York Knights; sticking to processes, defending under pressure, and wearing opponents down in the second half. Whilst looking ahead to the Leigh Leopards game on Sunday, saying that the team still has room to grow and that confidence comes from seeing the standards the squad can reach every day in training. π‹π’π¬ππžπ§ π‡πžπ«πž πŸ‘‰ audioboom.com/posts/8915351-…

Don’t forget after the Bradford Bulls vs Leigh Leopards first team game, the Bradford Bulls Reserves side are in action. They are unbeaten in their last two Odsal outings and are looking to make the top six ahead of the mid-season split with victory over the Leigh Leopards on Sunday. Here is highly rated homegrown scrum-half Finley Balback scoring the second of his two tries from the 28-22 win over the London Broncos last month.

Always a pleasure to speak with Kurt Haggerty, who confirms that Jayden Nikorima, who left the field in the last 15 minutes against York with a shoulder knock, is confident about playing against the Leigh Leopards on Sunday. Like most sides in Super League, the Bulls have been tested with injuries, but Haggerty is pleased with the belief and resilience his side has shown as the move up to ninth in the table at the halfway stage. Kurt also confirmed that Guy Armitage is back and available for selection, whilst a bulging disc will see Jayden Okunbor miss the next three months. With Haggerty saying that it has been an ongoing injury problem all season for Jayden, and flared up after the game with the Warrington Wolves, meaning that Okunbor will need time out to recover. Jamie Gill’s injury sustained in last week’s reserves game against Hull KR is going to keep the homegrown forward out for the next two to three weeks. Joe Keyes has had successful back operation and is now in the first week of training at Tong.

Kurt Haggerty says that the Bradford Bulls' season has been successful so far, noting five wins from 13 games as a strong foundation with significant potential for further improvement. The overall message from the Bulls boss is that the team must keep learning from close matches and narrow defeats to St Helens, Leeds, and Warrington, trusting their systems, and continue to turn those small advantages into wins. π‹π’π¬ππžπ§ π‡πžπ«πž πŸ‘‰ audioboom.com/posts/8914281-…

The Bradford Bulls have announced the signing of towering front row forward Sam Eseh Jr on a three-year deal from 2027. The 22-year-old, who stands tall at 6ft 3in, made his Super League debut as an 19-year-old for Wakefield Trinity and has since featured 30 times in the top tier – with spells at Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos alongside his current club, Wigan Warriors. Sam is the first new recruit ahead of the 2027 season – joining retainees Caleb Aekins, Connor Wynne and Joe Mellor in committing his future to the Bulls. Kurt Haggerty believes that he can help unlock parts of his game with his assistance, making him a very exciting player for the Bradford Bulls.

London Broncos defeat North Wales by a Championship record scoreline of 134-0. Best team by a mile in the regular season. London are going back to the Super League in 2027. What a ride they’ve taken their supporters on so far. The big questions are whether the clubs will remain at 14 teams, which is what I’m hearing, and who among Castleford, Huddersfield, Toulouse, and York will drop out for the Broncos next year.

The Bradford Bulls made the maths work last night with Joe Mellor scoring a crucial try while the York Knights were down to just 11 men with Scott Galeano (green carded) and David Nofoaluma in the sin bin. We think the great Italian mathematician Fibonacci would have been proud.

Results and performances have not been good for the Huddersfield Giants this season. It’s now six straight defeats for Huddersfield after a 36-16 defeat at home to Toulouse Olympique. Huddersfield remain rooted at the bottom of the Super League table and potentially inches closer to the Championship next season.

Just to spoke to Kurt Haggerty, who said he was pleased that his Bradford Bulls team won an important match against the York Knights this evening but admitted the performance was not good enough. He felt the team did enough to win, despite not playing well, because they handled key phases better than York later in the match. Emphasising that his team are learning to stay resilient, avoid panic, and move on quickly after mistakes. The most pleasing comment from Kurt is that for the first time this season, the players all came through the match injury-free.

He emphasises the importance of respecting the significance of the fixture for both sets of fans while remaining focused on preparation, belief, and execution in this crucial game. Ryan Cox will become the latest referee to make a Super League debut when he takes charge of Warrington Wolves versus Hull FC on Friday. The St Helens-based official, 24, has been a grade one referee since 2023 and joined the Super League Referees development squad last season. He has refereed more than 50 Championship games and is a regular Super League touch-judge having achieved appointments in both the Super League play-offs and Challenge Cup quarter-finals on the line. Cox becomes the latest referee to debut in Super League in the last 12 months following Matty Lynn and Tara Jones MBE, showing the pathway for officials within the game is as active as it has ever been.

Good to hear from Bradford Bulls assistant coach Carl Forster who says that there could be as many as six fresh faces taking to the Odsal Stadium field against the York Knights on Friday evening. Forster confirmed during his press conference that Ryan Sutton, Joe Mellor, Ebon Scurr, Andy Ackers, Ethan Ryan and Riley Dean are all in contention to feature on Friday evening. Bradford travelled to face the Warrington Wolves a fortnight ago missing 13 first team players, so the possibility of the Bulls naming their strongest side in months is a positive development.
