For those just finding out about Pasión de las Pasiones by @bleongambetta and @MagpieOfficial, let's travel back to 2019 when Matthew and Brandon talked about expressing love passionately and what makes this game tick. anchor.fm/thehardmove/episod…
Someone has just suggested to me that since PbtA games don't have dungeons, adventures, or bestiaries that there's nothing there for people to talk about and to that I say
1) The Hard Move exists to talk about *individual moves*, and
2) Great Monsters Of Crime
Hard to believe it’s been that long! Thank you to everyone who made seasons 1 & 2 such a success and to those of you still listening. Maybe someday we’ll be back for season 3! -M #MyTwitterAnniversary
Listening to a pile of episodes of @TheHardMove by @SidneyIcarus is doing wonders to help me refine Circles of Power. Folks should be sure to listen to this excellent podcast.
So @TheHardMove I wanted to respond to a couple of your questions in the episode, since you specifically asked (and also I want to justify some of my decisions).
So I am not offended by you calling Pay the Price out as the least interesting move because I kinda agree with you.
If you enjoyed the Tell A Story episode, check out Dave's & Nick's combo overview/review of Escape from Dino Island here in video form: youtube.com/watch?v=k12ZEknd…
The Hunted wouldn't exist if I hadn't listened to the episode of The Hard Move (the podcast Matthew started, now hosted by @/SidneyIcarus) about Escape From Dino Island so I'm very, very happy about this thread, frankly
It's time for another #5ttrpgs mini-review! This time, it's my (much-delayed) thoughts on Escape From Dino Island, by @stung_art and @Samnite.
Short version: buy this game. It's a masterclass in PbtA one-shot design, from the mechanics to the playsheets.

My friend @Taylor_CS (/@whimsymachine)'s Kickstarter dropped, which means so has @TheHardMove (with only a week's delay).
Go to anchor.fm/thehardmove to find the ep, then once your appetite is sufficiently fired, take your airship to kickstarter to back Fight, Item, Run
Need a distraction? I (Matthew) do. I put together an @itchio collection of games featured on the show so you can easily check them out. Looking back, we've talked about some very cool games. itch.io/c/1226339/games-feat…
Listening to the latest @TheHardMove, about Pay The Price from Fellowship 2e. I have neither read nor played Fellowship, but the conversation is *fascinating*. There's something that I find interesting because it was kind of talked around, but never talked ABOUT. (1/x)
Three important things about the episode of @TheHardMove that has just released!
Firstly, @john_harper is a genius and so much to speak to, and his rolling voice is sooooo made for radio that it makes me self-conscious.
It's also SPOOOOKY:

Best Interview Style Podcast
Some interviews are—let's be honest—kind of dull. We're not just firing questions at someone and waiting for our turn to speak again. Our guests are engaged and encouraged to go off the rails, resulting in some very amazing conversations.
Best Individual Podcast Episode
Not to tweet our own horn, but there are a lot of bangers in our backlog. Check out some of our recent ones, including Holy Symbol Arsenal, Tell a Story, and Surrender to Weariness.
Best Overall Podcast
I mean, that's got Hard Move written all over it, right? We know it's difficult to nail down a single best show, but we hope you'll consider us.
Hey friends and listeners! The @Discover_Pods are accepting nominations for amazing podcasts, and we would absolutely adore it if you'd let them know what you think of the Hard Move. Here is a thread of some categories we think we'd be a good fit for. x.com/Discover_Pods/status/1…
