Switching to Smash Art at low percents can help you escape combos! Oftentimes, the opponent either lacks true followups, or they're forced to go for a less rewarding route. Try experimenting with this vs. combo heavy characters!

little anecdote about the current level of success of sf6 in japan, when we arrived at narita airport we were interviewed by a tv station doing a "why are people visiting japan" segment, when we mentioned sf6 the interviewer instantly cheered up and told us he had a 1700MR manon
