CMPA is a rare hypersensitivity to cow’s milk that emerges before six months of age. Although its diagnosis remains in the wheelhouse of a GI, we SLPs might be the first to recognize it in a patient, because it can cause symptoms that overlap with feeding and swallowing disorders. In fact, 80% of kids with this allergy have dysphagia and need a GI referral! Members can check out our comprehensive review on CMPA and how it presents as swallowing/feeding challenges at: theinformedslp.com/review/do… #PediatricFeeding #PedMedSLP #SLPeeps #FeedingTherapy #pediatricfeedingdisorders
