I've listened to the audio of Marcia Langton in WA and she does *not* call voters racist or stupid.

We have been so lucky at @TheJusticeMap to have had brilliant, generous, fierce @SophieTrevitt on our Advisory Board since we began. We will miss you so deeply Soph. We will work to honour you - and your determination to make this world more just.
To the uncountable everyone that loved her and were inspired by her: this little legend, this total legend, the kindest, the bravest, the most ridiculous, the best, our hero, our most precious one:

But Soph was more than just her achievements, she was compassionate and silly, she always had time for long yarns about anything from politics to good hiking trips. She was a phenomenal friend, an amazing colleague, a hard worker and the fiercest ally. She will be greatly missed.

Earlier this year Sophie’s efforts in campaigns to ban spit hoods, and raise the minimum age of criminal responsibility were recognised by the Voltaire Human Rights Award.

Just for some context, in the past two years @ZiziAverill and I have written 60,000 words on NT Youth Detention, predominantly #Dondale and #Spithoods. In Feb 2022 we were given this letter from an 11-yr-old locked up in Don Dale.

It has been ten years since Monique Clubb was disappeared on 22 June 2013. Ten years and no answers. Ten years since Ms Bernard was disappeared. Their families still long for them to return back to county

We all must stand with Lidia just as we all stand with white women who disclose sexual abuse. We as white woman must believe Blak women not disbelieve and rip them down. We must end our racism perpetrated against Aboriginal women. #IStandWithLidia 🖤💛♥️

GEO group lost their contract for Victorian prisons, & was referred to the prosecutor over the death of an Aboriginal woman. Yet they have retained responsibility for the health of 1000 people in prison. We must hold these companies to a higher standard of accountability!
The company referred to the prosecutor over the death of an Aboriginal woman in prison will still be responsible for the healthcare of more than 1000 people in prison, despite losing the contract for public prisons in the state. My story for @crikey_news: crikey.com.au/2023/03/23/hea…

The QLD govt's 'tough on crime' youth laws are a step in the wrong direction. As the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture has highlighted, Aus already trails other countries in meeting basic human rights standards for children in prison. Let's do better. abc.net.au/news/2023-03-08/d…

Great to see coverage of a critical issue we're advocating for - the underfunding of mental health services in Australian prisons. People in prison deserve proper mental health care. It's a crucial step towards pulling people out of incarceration. abc.net.au/news/2023-03-23/p…
