Really delighted and humbled to see that we made it into the cover of Nature Chemical Biology @nchembio! This is first time for us. Kudos to @Priyans73221614 ,@_Riya_Ghosh and Paulami for preparing the cover art. Please see details in PMID: 40745478. @iiscbangalore , @BICS_IISc
Our November issue is live!

The cover depicts a SEM image of a dorsal surface of liverwort M. polymorpha female thallus. Liverwort were found to have a noncanonical pathway for the regulation of master growth repressor DELLA.
Important update📢
The last date for submitting online applications for PG/Ph.D. programmes for the Academic Year 2026-27 has been extended till 25th March 2026.
In an unbiased proteome wide screen, we report number of cellular targets of inositol phosphate messengers in plant. This could be an important resource for community, thanks to this collaborative study spearheaded by the Jessen lab, Uni Freiburg, DE! Kudos to everyone involved!
Thrilled to contribute to this research, now published in Advanced Science. Using affinity-based interactome mapping, candidate targets that may mediate InsP signaling pathways in plants are uncovered here. Special thanks to my guide @TheLahaLab

Now on the Cover @PNASNews, Delightful to see @ganguly_akansha Journey from stress to regeneration, from leaf to root featured on cover. Akansha, you made it, very well done, congratulations.
ALT Cover image: Pictured is a regenerating root from an Arabidopsis thaliana leaf. Akansha Ganguly et al. detached plant leaves to study the mechanisms of stress mitigation associated with wound repair. The authors found that plant-specific PLETHORA transcription factors activate the ATG8 gene, which initiates recycling of damaged cell components to decrease intracellular stress and allow stem cells to differentiate. ATG8 is not activated if the plant is simply forming a callus, rather than regenerating roots. The results reveal how plant-specific autophagy regulators interact with intracellular stress signaling to aid in wound repair. See the article by Ganguly et al., e2513954123. Our new paper! @PNASNews,

Healing isn’t about eliminating stress- it’s about regulating it.

Work led by @ganguly_akansha reveals how plants carefully manage wound-induced stress (ROS) at the cellular level to activate organ regeneration.
