In Penrith Castle Park stands the remains of Penrith Castle. It was built at the end of the 14th century. The castle was key to defending this area against the Scots. It later became a luxurious residence for Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who became Richard III. #tarlietravels
I found out about this amazing place @cumbrianheavyhorses, where you can ride Shires, Suffolk Punches, Ardennes and Clydesdales. It is also a rare breeds centre. I even got to see their beautiful horses being risen on the beach #tarlietravels@VisitCumbria@TheLakesGuide
