Keeping up with your friends doesn’t have to be complicated. But that’s how it feels today on other apps when updates from your crew are buried beneath brands, influencers, and videos of strangers dancing. We believe that sharing your life with your friends should be simple and fun. Introducing Capture by amo. It’s the camera you create — made just for friends. Create your camera by choosing from a range of styles, then get on with capturing daily life how you really see it. No time to check if you look good (you look great, btw). No followers to count. And no algorithms to keep you in the app. Choose to capture in 0.5, superzoom, or frontback mode, then tilt to unveil captures in a feed that’s just for friends. Once there’s nothing new to view, Capture shuts down so that you can get off your phone. On amo, your profile, friendships, feed, and settings are shared across the apps. Trying a new amo app takes no time at all as your info (and your friends!) are already waiting for you.

Where did our friends go?? The bike rides. The sleepovers. Your first cigarette. Gossiping about your latest crush. Being consoled when they break your heart. Discovering a new city. Re-discovering your own (at 2AM). The hungover brunches. The tears. The laughs. The love. So many of the moments that shaped us were shared with friends. And then those moments started happening online. Posting photos from last night’s party. Tagging your latest situationship. Poking your roommate (whatever that means??). It was exciting and well intentioned, but something got lost along the way. The platforms that were built to bring friends closer together became places we go to scroll through videos… of strangers. We’re entertained, but where did our friends go? We started amo because we believe that friendship still deserves a place online. We’re a group of friends who have spent our lives building stuff for friends. And now, we’re getting ready to share something new for you and your crew. We call it amo. And to us, amo is more than a company. It’s a friend affair, « une affaire d’amitié ». Something we’re making for you, but for us too. Our first idea is almost here.
