"Given the multiple crises we are living through, investigative journalism is all the more important." - Ariana Huffington, co-founder of The Huffington Post. As the demand for critical, fact-based, and credible reporting grows, investment in the next generation of investigative journalists is needed now more than ever. This is why we are empowering early-career journalists to sustain and advance the practice of investigative journalism in Ghana and West Africa. Every Next Generation Investigative Journalism (NGIJ) Fellowship journey is unique, but the impact is always transformative and permanent. Today, we spotlight two more Fellows from our 7th Cohort as they reflect on how the fellowship has instilled in them the discipline of ethical reporting, fact-checking, and critical research-based journalism. The fellowship was implemented with funding support from @dw_akademie Here's what our fellows have to share:

For the past five years, we have empowered young journalists with the skills, knowledge, and mentorship needed to excel in public interest reporting and investigative journalism. The impact of the Next Generation Investigative Journalism (NGIJ) Fellowship is best told by those who have experienced it. Now, hear directly from our Fellows from the 7th cohort. #NGIJAt5 #NGIJ @dw_akademie
