It's always a joy to welcome Martin family descendants.📷Denise and Betsy, great-granddaughters of Darwin and Isabelle, along with Betsy's husband Rick, were most surprised by the growth of the gardens. Their last visit was in June '22, which is still early in the blooming season

The staff who worked in the Martin House kitchen enjoyed a lovely view of the courtyard gardens through a band of clear glass windows that admit northern light (when it's not raining).
These windows were always clear glass, not art glass – allowing for lots of light in the space.
