One of the most valuable parts of this show has been hearing how other people read the work. Once it leaves me, it doesn’t belong to just one perspective anymore. I appreciate @TheMatthewA 's feedback : “At first, it felt familiar. Like I’ve seen these scenes before. Then you start processing what you’re actually looking at — beauty coming from ugly places. Some people say art can’t be functional. I disagree. This limited edition signed 100% petroleum jelly I acquired from @toadswiback in Marfa a couple of years ago has been a life saver with my cold this week.
