couldn’t have said it better.
the most underrated hire right now is a great product person. when i say product person i'm def not talking about a product manager. perhaps i think there has to be somewhat of a new role. i don't have a good name for it yet but maybe something like "product thinker".. someone with an intuitive grasp of the product as it exists, where it's soft, where it sings, & how to iterate it toward something even sharper. in some sense, this person has to cohesively hold in their head where this product should be 2 years from now & work backwards from that. i say this cuz when building was hard, engineering was the bottleneck & the status hierarchy often reflected that. building is no longer hard. which means the variance in outcomes has shifted almost entirely to judgment on what to build, how to sequence it, & how to talk about it. & the story matters as much as the thing. internally, it organizes the team around a shared model of why. externally, it shapes the interpretive frame users bring to their first experience. you can't retrofit narrative onto a product & expect it to land, it has to be load bearing from the start. the rarest version of this person sits at the intersection of culture & deep technology. someone genuinely bilingual. they know what's technically possible & they know which cultural currents are real vs. ephemeral. that combo is what separates products that feel inevitable from products that feel assembled. before ppl clap back with this person has always been valuable, i know.. i am just saying now they might be the most *important* person in the room. their value compounds like never before.

In the past few weeks I’ve been cold emailed by a 15-year-old and 16-year-old offering significant technical insights and contributions. We will see within our lifetime the rise of young supergeniuses that far surpass previous generations in both intellect and demonstrable accomplishments. With AI, anyone can self-teach any concept, science, discipline. Agents can implement and give the individual the power of a large team. It’s gonna be fun to watch the dramatic acceleration of human potential.

I use @cursor_ai MCP to investigate/debug issues, understand diffrent code bases and applications, provide clear direction for implementation and to build cool sh*t.
How @TheMikeBal uses Cursor and MCP to build an AI operating system that connects to all his tools Most PMs juggle dozens of disconnected tools.

What makes an AI native PM? .@TheMikeBal on thinking in prompts and building an operating system mindset Most PMs still work the old way. They need to check if a bug fix shipped.
AI native PMs are lapping those who just use LLMs. Here’s how to build an AI PM operating system with @TheMikeBal, Head of AI and PM @davidsbridal: 8:41 - The OS mindset 15:22 - Key MCP integrations 28:26 - Demo: 30s design validation 48:52 - Manus vs Claude vs ChatGPT

.@TheMikeBal on the biggest mistakes PMs make when using AI tools "Garbage in, garbage out still resonates with me. I think over-prompting is one that I think backfires often. Really deep, really structured prompts that are meant to be reused and systematic like a copy-paste without understanding the subtleties of every time, like the things that you're doing differently, unless it really is just a repetitive task. Like generating requirements, I don't feel like I need a prompt structure to do that because it depends on what I'm starting with or where I'm at or what stage of thinking I'm in. I think the data you pull, for example, I think laziness with AI, like you put a prompt in tool A, like Manus, you downloaded the files and you uploaded them without reading them in, say, like a Gemini and you prototype something out, like you're probably going to get something that's maybe along the lines of what you're thinking, but not very intentional, where you're kind of proving that that level of product management isn't valuable anymore, right? Taste is incredibly important."

Hey @calcom - is there away for bookings to show as blocked on all connected calendars? I know they impact availability, but I would love it if when a meeting was booked it actually blocked out my other calendars.

I’m very put in close to 1000 hours into vibe coding over the last two years and I broke out some of the lessons that changed the way I approach it, the tools I use, etc. If you are still just dipping your toes in, this is for you. mikebal.link/vibe-coding #ai #vibecoding

I think the volatility of opposing opinions in the US is a reflection of. 1. Lack of accountability. 2. Lack of maturity. 3. Poor mental health. Be responsible for yourself. Other people’s opinions won’t bother you as much if you deeply understand your own.

Why have I never heard anyone talk about caves at The Grand Canyon outside of paranormal podcasts? Has anyone else been on cool tours or explored? Know anyone involved in mapping efforts?

Excited to participate in @inktober for the first time in a few years. I’ve always struggled to keep up with ideas and concepts I thought were worth drawing. Using ai this year to help define my style, refine my concepts, and work ahead. With my own concepts.

All technical uses aside. The experience using the @GeminiApp is pretty terrible compared to AI studio. The @GoogleDeepMind has put out some incredible models but the basic things like session memory and context management are totally missing from the consumer app.

As far as I can tell, @manusai is still significantly better than @OpenAI Agent Mode. Anyone have an alternate opinion? I went back and looked at deep research tasks and tasks that also required compiling a deliverable with research and ChatGPT kind of does the bare min.
