The hate Tori Vega (& Victoria Justice herself) gets is absurd. People have shifted their ‘critique’ of the character to the actress in real life which is inexcusable. They will justify their hatred for the character because ‘she wasn’t the most talented’ — was that not the premise of the show? A ‘normal girl’ joins Hollywood Arts, a school filled with extraordinary talented kids? The fact she was the lead of the show yet not ‘the most talented’ has gotten people too comfortable to insult the actress in real life in favor of her cast mates. All of this over interview clips from 15-16 years ago where she tried to not exclude any of her co-stars when answering questions. I’ll never be OK with people hating on her just to hate on her.
What’s the most OVERHATED main character in TV history?

If actor Michael Miranda had nailed this Drake & Josh scene during run through, we might never have gotten Jerry Trainor as Crazy Steve—and later, Spencer. Michael was originally cast as Crazy Steve, but after he ended up being the wrong fit for the role, Jerry stepped in at the 11th hour, and the rest is history. What still blows my mind is that years later, Michael and Jerry ended up sharing a scene together on Wendell & Vinnie.

I remember seeing this photo for the first time years ago and thinking 'We've never seen the room this way', but never realized it's from the unaired #DrakeAndJosh pilot. (Special thanks to reddit.com/r/DrakeandJosh/co…)

Some rare photos taken on the set of iCarly before cameras even started rolling in January 2007. This was the original Bottle Bot sculpture created for the show. Filming on the pilot was literally two days away when it was decided that the entire robot needed to be redesigned. Do you prefer this version or the green one made of Sprite bottles?

I wonder how many viewers knew when it aired that @ItsJoshPeck had a three second cameo in this episode, wearing the wig & sunglasses. I bet it was zero! Josh had visited the studio on Halloween (when this was filmed) and had his makeup done by the makeup artist. They put him in the background. He dressed as Andy Warhol for Halloween 😂
17 years ago today - May 16th, 2009 - the iCarly episode “iReunite With Missy” premiered on Nickelodeon. I’ll never forget Missy’s fate of being stuck on a cruise ship for months, getting sick the entire time It’s also one of the first times Freddie does something nice for Sam

Sharing this inspiring post, but I'd like to share my own version as well. We work in different ways, which is probably why we post similar yet different content :) If you're really interested in something, research! And share your knowledge, because it can be used by others!
I first started posting content about Nickelodeon in 2017, and started working in the film industry in 2021. It really is nothing more than connecting with the right people along the way. Always focus on your passion & hobbies. Network. Sometimes getting to see cool stuff comes out of it. In ten years, I’ve reached out to hundreds of actors & crew members from these shows seeing if they’ve had their script or any memories from working on them. Simply put, follow your passion & some cool relationships come out of it.

I often combine info from multiple sources. On the Drake & Josh production dates page, I added the sources that can still be accessed: thepearsource.wordpress.com/… Look at how much of this obscure info was already online before I combined it! You just need to know where to look.

Reddit topics with questions like 'Help me find an episode! When did the iCarly gang go to Japan?' make me sad, because putting that into Google will get you the answer within seconds. Please learn how to search info online. There's so much to find! :)

A couple little changes, for those curious…and these aren’t all that interesting, but: -Josh’s Miss Nancy advice column dress was completely different -The “Why are you dressed like Queen Latifah?!” joke was different -The fight scene was filmed in the Nick on Sunset parking lot, aka the Asphalt Cafe, instead of at a school -The actor playing Buck was different
I recently got to watch the full unaired Drake & Josh pilot. Instead of the standard 24 minute episode, this version I saw was more of a 30-32 minute episode. To be honest, I can’t imagine the show as is today with Stephen Furst instead of Jonathan Goldstein. Something felt really off.

This #iCarly blooper (shown in iBloop) actually makes more sense without the laugh track, because I think the crew member cracking up (hard to hear in the original clip!) is at least part of the reason the actors start laughing. Here's the clip without the laugh track:

There was a title sequence, yes. It was something that reminded me of The Amanda Show’s title sequence. Really just a short sequence with an existing song over it. No theme song existed yet. The version I saw was really for the network to see only. Kind of like the Gibby pilot that leaked, there were a couple pop songs playing over transitions, which would’ve been edited out had it aired for the public.

Was there a title sequence or anything like that, or was it just straight up scene after scene

The market where Spencer tries to sell fudge balls in #iCarly - iOwe You was likely named after director David Kendall. However, this is hard to spot: some signs are very small, and the Kendall's Bakery sign is only fully visible for 2 frames (and only in the widescreen version)!

David Kendall passed away recently. He directed episodes of basically every Nickelodeon live-action sitcom in the past 20 years, and much more. He was also a writer/producer on shows outside of Nick. Post by Cooper Barnes (Henry Danger & Danger Force): instagram.com/p/DX8hjmYlQeS/

It's easy to forget how much effort was put in these shows. A whole costume made for a 3-minute scene, which (to be fair) also would've worked with regular clothes.
I thought of this episode last night while seeing the Michael Jackson movie. When the costumer designer for iCarly was told she had the task of dressing Freddie like MJ in the Thriller music video, she searched everywhere in Los Angeles & couldn’t find the costume. So, she made it herself!

It probably exists! The footage behind the titles (the French version doesn't have arrows for some reason) doesn't seem to be edited/'erased'. Though I heard Ned's Declassified initially didn't have textless materials, which made editing a pain for international channels.

Do you think that a textless version of the season 1/2 intro could be found? We've gotten season's 3 and 4.

I’ve gotten replies saying they don’t want to hear from him again. It’s fine that you feel that way, but the legacy of these shows is so strong. What is unreleased and has been digitized is truly astronomical. It’s probably thousands of hours of unseen footage. Just filming run throughs, filming, table reads, cast members in hair & makeup, all of it. Who wouldn’t be interested in watching Emma Stone’s All That audition? Miranda screen testing with Josh Peck for the role of Megan? It would be fun & wholesome content. So, I would hate for any of it to not be released. And if he isn’t the one to do it, we are probably never getting it. Show footage is different. I’m sure he legally can’t post much or any of that, but anything shot on a handheld camera he sure can.
There's so much unreleased material just sitting there in archives... Random example, because this is one of the rare confirmed ones: the #iCarly episode iCook had over 6 minutes of extra footage in the editor's cut. That's iSaved Your Life-like! x.com/childhoodsource/status…
