Compared with the general population, people with TBI are:
1. 3x more likely to suffer cardiovascular-related mortality
2. 78% more likely to have any cardiovascular disease
3. ~40% more likely to have hypertension, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease

Similar risks seen in those with mild as compared with moderate/severe TBI.
We need to increase awareness of the cardiovascular risks after TBI and start screening for cardiovascular health to improve long-term outcomes!

A new scoping review published in Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation explores how the Rehabilitation Treatment Specification System (RTSS) is being applied across rehabilitation research and practice.
The review synthesizes current evidence, highlights key trends, and identifies opportunities for improving clarity in treatment specification to advance rehabilitation science, clinical communication, and reproducible research.
