I've been warning about
#copycatlawsuits in the real estate commission litigation for about 3 years now. Gibson was the first, then Batton. Now Burton in SC and March v. REBNY in NYC.
These are far from the last ones we'll see. The significance of the last two lawsuits is the lawyers filing them. We are now at the stage of the personal injury ambulance chasers going after real estate; things go parabolic from here.
Next shoes to drop: one of these personal injury guys will figure out that the local MLS and Associations have a lot of money. Plus, lawyers will figure out the relevance of Relevent Sports v. US Soccer.
