im calling out
@Elvis_Nelson0 regarding the recent content competition for
@blok_cap.
according to the rules (which were clearly stated as โstrictly readโ):
- participants must tag
@blok_cap and use the hashtag
#BLOKCapital in the root tweet (both were required)
- participants must include at least two visuals in their thread
after reviewing the winners, i noticed that several selected entries did not follow one or both of these requirements.
and this is where the issue comes in.
i had already pointed out that one of the winners failed to follow multiple rules, yet another winner was selected despite having the same issue.
letโs look at it:
โข 1st winner - omitted the required hashtag in the root tweet.
โข 3rd winner - omitted the required hashtag in the root tweet as well, and the engagement on the thread was relatively low.
โข 5th winner - also didnโt include the required hashtag
โข 6th winner - same issue, no hashtag in the root tweet
these werenโt optional requirements fr.. they were part of the criteria everyone was expected to follow.
my concern isnโt even about whether i won or not. itโs about fairness.
a lot of creators spent hours researching, writing, designing visuals, and making sure every requirement was met before submitting their entries.
when people who didnโt follow the stated rules are rewarded, it sends the wrong message to everyone who actually took the time to do things properly.
for context, i personally went the extra mile on my own submission (you can see that in the attached video), and there were many other high-quality entries that were overlooked as well.
i want to make it clear that this isnโt directed at
@0xSheetal or
@codeswithroh.
theyโve consistently shown support for creators and the community, and i genuinely respect that.
but
@Elvis_Nelson0, as a creator yourself, you know how frustrating it is when competitions arenโt judged according to the rules that were published.
if you wanted to reward your friends, thatโs your choice. but at the very least, the winners should meet the requirements that everyone else was asked to follow.
this wasnโt handled fairly, & i genuinely think you could have done better here.
do better, bro!!!
