Registration for SEA 2025 is now available through the conference Ex Ordo site. Early registration rates apply until May 15. Membership in the SEA is also a requirement for conference participants.

If you plan to attend SEA 2025 at Notre Dame, please be aware that the conference housing reservation system is still under construction. Hotel rooms and on-campus dorm rooms will be available for booking soon. We will share updates across SEA media when that system is ready!

The SEA Executive Committee is delighted to share that Sara E. Johnson’s Encyclopédie Noire (2023) has been awarded the 2nd Annual Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for African Studies from the MLA. We are looking forward to Dr. Johnson’s keynote at the 2025 SEA conference!
