Seattle Mariners catcher and Cullowhee’s own Cal “the Big Dumper” Raleigh will be in #CatamountCountry on Saturday for the annual gridiron grudge match against ETSU, the “Blue Ridge Border Battle” with kickoff at Noon! The 2025 MLB Homerun Derby Champion is the honorary captain and will flip the coin prior to kickoff, so be sure to be in your seats and let’s show Cal how much he means to Cullowhee!

He started the game 46/46. FORTY-SIX CONSECUTIVE COMPLETIONS. He destroyed the previous record for consecutive completions in a game (29) and finished 53/56 overall, with 378 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Come out to our Men’s basketball game tomorrow, Jan 4th, and watch the smallest Catamount fans crawl to the finish line. The game begins at 3 pm and the race will take place at halftime.
