USA: Exactly! Thank you @RepGraceMeng. #ProtectLinguists
Why are we rolling out the red carpet for 17,500 Afrikaners with no ties here while stranding 1,100 Afghan allies who risked their lives for our country? “Assimilation” isn’t an answer. It’s a dog whistle. And it’s wrong.

USA: Critical Info⬇️ #ProtectLinguists
A federal court has just ordered that @StateDept to notify all SIVs who have received Chief of Mission approval but haven’t yet interviewed or received their visa that their visas will be denied if they interview. This is the language they’ll receive.

Afghans risked their lives to help the U.S. as advisors, interpreters, and special operation forces. Turning our backs on our allies—including family members of U.S. servicemembers and hundreds of children—to send them to war-torn DRC is evil and wrong. nytimes.com/2026/04/21/world…

Does America stand by the Afghan Allies who stood by it?
Mullin once suggested it should. Now he can prove it, I argue in WaPo. Gift link. wapo.st/4c2ZgnS

A member of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, Gregory Meeks, criticized Donald Trump’s policies during an shadow hearing, stating that following his decision, all doors to the United States have been closed to those Afghans who cooperated with America for twenty years. He said that, in addition to other pathways, the suspension of Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs) and edning the Temporary Protected Status have had negative impacts on thousands of Afghans and their families. He called on Congress to review these policies and prepare an appropriate legislative response. #TOLOnews_English

On Friday, a court ordered the Trump admin to abide by a plan to adjudicate SIV applications in a timely manner. While the expanded travel ban continues to prevent all Afghan nationals from entering the U.S., COM processing must resume immediately. refugeerights.org/news-resou…
