A woman whose father was a pastor, told me she walked home with her father discussing the sermon. She remembered he was never satisfied that he'd done a good job. Pastor, I share this story because discouragement normal and very rarely true. Keep going.

20. Stay there for the long haul. Day one with 11 members, you probably don't have many elders. As your church grows, that may change. Be there long enough to see the wayward teen become the wise elder.
