I love when you're at Cedar Point in the announcement say "Say hello to all your Peanuts Pals" but they don't enunciate it enough and that "t" kind of gets lost and it sounds like they're saying something quite different.

I truly love how I have to put "quotes" around "every search term" when I use google to let it know that, no, I haven't included any optional search terms; I'm not filling it up with mere suggestions like I'm setting up a wish list or something. Please stop making things worse.

As an American, this weird American/European discourse made me aware of two weird products that exist, one European cosplaying as an American product, which I'm intrigued by, and an American product I've never heard of which I am definitely not interested in trying.

And that being a Meijer-branded option means it was under my nose my entire life most likely. But I don't often buy canned vegetables unless it's something very specific, so I'd be a bit mission-oriented. Like stewed tomatoes or something.

AI is the future of people who tell you AI is the future. NFTs was the future of people who told you NFTs were the future. Blockchain… VRML…

So few Americans seem to think much more deeply about capitalism than this 1939 short by Jam Handy, "Round and Round". 1/x youtube.com/watch?v=pLE3NjuC…

"But that's all right, though, because these workmen need the money to buy food and clothing and to pay the rent." [See how paying labour has to be justified?]

"And maybe even a lot of them will want to use some of their money to buy widgets for themselves!" [Ironically, a lot of CEOs and billionaires today are quickly forgetting this part of the propaganda.]

The busy signal is effectively the closed but still intact mall of the telephone system. Common enough that you might have heard it every day 50 years ago. So uncommon now that you probably haven't heard it in 15 years. The endless ring is probably the liminal space, however.

Every billionaire, CEO, and rock star has gone insane because they surround themselves with yes men. Now we're giving every human access to the compliment chatbot who agrees with your initial premise and tells you you're incredibly smart and attractive. Surely this is fine.

Whenever I go to a fast food place and chips (UK: crisps) are an option and not fries (UK: chips), rest assured I'm only there because someone I'm with doesn't understand the mission.

The US flag is so busy and tacky. With all this hyperbolic flag discourse in the last 15 years, we should just take Panama's flag and make it ours. Or Texas's. Both are much more tasteful and reserved.

You need to care if it's AI slop before you send it. If you use fake AI slop against MAGA BS, all they care about is that you lied and they "owned" you. They won't care Trump lied to them about the economy, fraud, and wasting billions; Trump will have fresh new lies for them.

If I drove 24/7 for the rest of my life, if I zipper merge or not will not save me as much time as Mapquest, Google Maps, and Waze already have. So I don't care. No LLM or GPT image bot will bring me that sort of value. I don't want AI slop code on my phone or computer.

When I see so much conceptual road rage at being in a car for four extra minutes, I just figure these people must not have good music taste to keep themselves entertained.

Dear Erika Kirk, My personal reply to you is that I sincerely hope you break your spine with these backflips you're doing. The backflips are metaphorical, but I hope the spine breaking is literal. Yours.

"Ready to see how easy and FUN shopping for insurance can be?" OK, calm down, Progressive, I'm an adult, I know better. "Ready to see how FUN waterboarding and mowing the lawn can be?"

Trump's fans imaging that Trump's idea of a "long term plan" is anything more ambitious than what he plans on having for lunch or what he's going to tweet in the next twenty minutes.

Americans are so uneducated. They'd be shocked to learn that my country is about the same size as the United States.

Just had my account locked and had to (admittedly trivially) verify my account after "suspicious activity". Presumably the "suspicious activity" was not spreading enough eugenics memes and not paying for a blue checkmark like a good little boot licker.
