Pleased to share collaborative work with @MCDuncanLab led by amazing grad student Anusha @MCW_CBNA . We reveal unexpected dynamics in the endolysosomal system regulated by Rab35 that are critical for lumen formation in a model of early development. 1/

In summary, we propose that lumenogenesis in this system requires a massive/transient remodeling of endo-lysosomal system. Rab35 plays a key role in directing excess apical proteins out of endosomes and into lysosome. Without this, cells cannot form a mature apicosome. 13/
