60 years ago today, Frank Walker entered his homemade jetpack into a Science Fair Competition at the New York World's Fair.
While he didn't walk out of the Hall of Invention with the $50 prize, his ambition earned him a life-changing pin-vitation.

Ten years ago today, The Optimist alternate reality game was announced on the Disney Parks blog.
A (now defunct) landing page boldly defied the form's "this is not a game" trope by acting as a book cover, welcoming us into its fictional world.

The first movie ever mastered in @Dolby Vision, and the first movie with an all-4K post production pipeline has still never been made available in 4K or HDR.

Disney will outsource manufacturing, distributing, and marketing of DVDs and Blu-ray discs to Sony Pictures as part of a new deal, according to @Variety. This only impacts physical media - no changes to digital media.
