Personally think all the hate for Isagi's green aura is excessive, anime simply did not do the best job of making it look good, but hat doesn't mean the contrast is inherently a poor design, and in fact could look incredible
Another small observation. I see some people saying this is the France kit, but I'm almost certain it's not. You can see the blue/dark blue original kit being pulled off in his hand, and what's left underneath is a white/glowing version of the kit.
The original kit and alternate kit I believe were kept intentionally similar so this version of Isagi would look the same regardless of what kit he started the match with.
The undershirt in the original kit is darker in tone than the rest of the kit. Same is true for the knee-high socks for the alternate kit, but they turn white in the manga even though a darker tone is used when he's in base.
Tldr The logic Nomuras following would allow the alternate and original kit to look identical when shirosagi steps on the pitch #bluelock
I tried here to make the light look as if it's going inwards and then warping (like a black hole) because that's what I *think* Nomura may have been going for with the circle. Regardless I hope a similar concept is used whenever we get some good Nagi trapping animation #bluelock
Nagi's skull aura manifestation seems like it has muscle fibers on it now and I think interpreting that as symbolism for his ego finally beginning to form is so cool #bluelock
Can someone with more ball knowledge than me explain what the functional difference between Sae and Hugo is? I don't mean the narrative difference, obviously they have their own roles to play in the story, but as players are they both not just good midfielders?
