18 years ago today, we lost an incredible journalist, colleague and friend. I was in the newsroom, just feet from where Tim was in the network bureau when we heard calls for help and saw paramedics rush him out. I will never forget our chats about the Bills, Sabres and Buffalo.
Listening to @LT__Murray & @McNuttMonica have enabled me to deepen my longtime @nyknicks fandom and my ability to follow them while living in Dallas. They’re a fantastic pair!
Scott Pelley tells the NYT: "The collapse of values at the top has become untenable. The leadership of ‘60 Minutes’ is no longer recognizable. The principles I hold dear are gone." nytimes.com/2026/06/02/busin…
But to those of us who know both of these Scotts, the similarities are striking and the passion for independent, credible journalism is shared. Thank you, @MacFarlaneNews. Honored to call you a friend and former colleague.
Proud of Scott. A man of character and integrity. We crossed paths many times while I was with CBS in DFW and Philly. Once again, his instincts were spot on.
#60Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley lashed out at the program’s new executive producer Nick Bolton during a Monday meeting, accusing him of “murdering ‘60 Minutes’” and having “slender qualifications for this job.”
CBS News hopes to keep Pelley and the remaining correspondents on the show, according to a person familiar with CBS News, despite these conflicts.

ASU baseball outfielder Matt Polk has been a crucial part of the Sun Devils' 2026 postseason push. The Vanderbilt transfer missed his 2025 season due to injury, but found perseverance through his mother, Martha, who survived a brain tumor a year prior.
A story for @DevilsDigest
If a team were to intentionally wear an unauthorized uniform, it would be handled as an administrative or equipment violation rather than an on-ice penalty. The organization would likely face severe undisclosed fines from the league rather than a delay of game or minor penalty.
Just an FYI to those wondering what would happen if they were to come out in the goat heads tonight. I’m sure they have inquired what the actual fines would cost. We shall see tonight 👀🔥
Thank you, @Mike_Bundt! As someone who has worked in media and sports broadcasting for almost 30 years, I can confirm this is the way the industry is trending. It’s a business — plain and simple.
The Bills radio news is a lesson for everyone on media literacy.
They left WGR because they wanted to produce their own broadcast and distribute the rights to the stations they handpicked.
Sal is a WGR employee who was working on their broadcasts on the side while Tasker is a permanent employee of the Bills.
This is about the Bills controlling every aspect of their operation in terms of team produced media which is becoming a trend among professional organizations in the United States and Canada.
NEW: The Republican-led South Carolina Senate rejected a measure Tuesday to redraw the state’s congressional map despite pressure from Donald Trump.
In a lengthy floor speech, Republican Senate Majority Leader Shane Massey said trying to draw a new map would be short-sighted:
“We are stronger when we have a clash of ideas and we can discuss those policy goals. Republicans are stronger when the Democrat Party is vibrant and viable.” Massey said
