Sometimes I like to close my eyes while I write. That way, their images can't interfere with the one in my mind.

Anybody else *like* editing?
Writing a first draft feels like discovering an ore seam--what you see ain't pretty, but it has potential. Editing refines that potential and shows you what you've had all along.
Or maybe I'm just a geologist.
