Do you think they're also going to remake B2W2? Obviously Pokemon remakes aren't based on the "deluxe" version (Emerald, Plat, etc.), but B2W2 are fundamentally different games from BW. Maybe they won't remake either and instead make Black 3 and White 3...

There's an interesting dichotomy in how fantasy for men and women are discussed. Fantasies for men are dismissed as wish fulfillment, whereas fantasies for women are criticized for setting a dangerous standard. The underlying idea being women can't separate fiction from reality.

It's performative because people pretend they don't remember what it was like being 9-13. lol Wanting a older, handsome BF is a staple of many girls' media. Fiction isn't making people believe that older BF's should be normalized in real life. It's just a fantasy for girls!

You see this come up anytime a romance anime aimed at women comes out where the guy has some sort of problematic aspect to him. People immediately start panicking that it's "sending a bad message to women" as if they're somehow too stupid to understand it's a work of fiction.
