I read about YarnGPT's acquisition yesterday, and I was really excited for @saheedniyi_02 . It's proves that ambitious ideas built with persistence will eventually find their moment. But it also left me wondering when acquisitions will become more commonplace in hardware ?

Tomorrow on The Circuit Foundry, we’ll be breaking down the lack of funding and adequate support systems for hardware startups in Africa, what it takes to build without venture capital, and how to spot and leverage the opportunities that do exist. Join us at 8pm.

Hey Algorithm, Let those interested in funding hardware startup and fast prototyping see this post. I am trying to gain new VC profiles and get more mentors in this space. I'm currently building a fast hardware prototyping service in Nigeria for hardware developers.

Working on some pan and tilt system for the bot. The platform 😂 carrying the camera and some sensors will be mounted to the head to allow for camera rotation without body rotation 😊. A raspberry pi 5 will be the brain fo the bot for now before a Jetson orin
Tadaaa!! 🙂. Changed the IMU from bno055 to mpu6050, did the sensor fusion in code. Another culprit that caused oscillations was the high loop frequency (400hz). 1/400 = 2.5ms loop period .The odrive takes almost 2.5ms alone to return wheel velocity data

the @Thehard_guild stepping up is the community recognising the moment. but the community needed infrastructure to produce a backbone. hardware needs what software got: a place where work is verified, collaboration is easy, and capability travels with the builder.

I’m happy to see hardware gaining momentum across Nigeria and Africa at large. Every day, new engineers, students, and founders are emerging in this field. That is exactly why the Hardware Guild exists, to help them learn, connect, and collaborate to build Africa's future.
